Matthew Stratton's award winning career has spanned three decades and includes time as a newspaper reporter, freelance writer/photographer, medical/surgical photographer/videographer, hospital public relations manager, and financial services executive. He is currently a senior executive at Oklahoma's largest credit union. In his 17 years there Matt has gained a reputation as a talented speaker and educator, having been a guest speaker at numerous local, state and national conferences.
He has received the Marketer of the Year award presented by the Credit Union Executives Society, and during the past two decades, Matt and the members of his department have won dozens of awards, including Golden Mirrors, Diamonds and Addys.
When not on the job, Matt can often be found on stage. He has participated in community theatre, as both a writer and actor with roles in productions ranging from classic old melodramas to Arsenic and Old Lace, Our Town and Born Yesterday. For the past several years, Matt's time on stage has been as a singer/songwriter, performing at conferences, private parties, songwriter showcases and corporate events. He is known for lyric writing that displays wry wit in political and social satire as well as heartwarming songs about living, loving and laughing.
Throughout his career, Matt has been a speaker and educator. In addition to speaking at state, regional and national conferences, Matt has also taught adult GED classes and a writing class for business professionals. Matt holds a degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma and has been a corporate communicator for 26 years.
